Federal cabinet approves plan to increase exports, imports through Gwadar port and a subcommittee will be formed.
At a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad, directives were issued to boost export volumes from Gwadar Port in the future.
A cabinet subcommittee will be established to provide quarterly reports on imports and exports through Gwadar Port.
The Cabinet also approved a Memorandum of Understanding between Pakistan and Sri Lanka for issuing a commemorative postal stamp to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Additionally, the Cabinet expressed satisfaction that a well-timed decision on sugar exports not only brought valuable foreign exchange but also helped control sugar prices.
