DG ISPR highlights Pakistan’s resolve against Indian aggression while emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to peace.
Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that the people of Pakistan will never be intimidated, forced, or subdued by aggression or Indian dominance.
In an interview with RT Arabic, he mentioned that although India attempted to intimidate Pakistan, it failed to recognize that both the Pakistani people and military remain undeterred.
He pointed out that the global community has witnessed how Pakistan stood firm like a solid iron wall, or “Bunyan-um-Marsoos,” in response to Indian aggression.
The DG ISPR described Pakistanis as serious and peace-oriented, emphasizing that the international community now better understands the resilient spirit of the Pakistani nation.
He attributed the root cause of India-Pakistan tensions to India’s role as a primary sponsor and supporter of terrorism in the region, particularly within Pakistan, including groups like Fitna al Khwarij and militants active in Balochistan.
Rather than addressing this reality, India hides behind a false narrative of terrorism and arrogantly acts as judge, jury, and executioner.
Following the Pahalgam incident, India accused Pakistan without presenting any evidence.
The DG ISPR said Pakistan firmly demanded that India submit evidence to a neutral investigation body and offered full cooperation, but India chose to ignore this reasonable request and instead launched attacks on mosques and innocent civilians, including women and children.
Pakistan responded to these attacks with maturity, restraint, and proportionality, targeting only military sites without harming any civilian infrastructure.
He added that Pakistan’s retaliation was quick and forceful, sending a clear message to India to reconsider and accept reality.
When asked about India’s reaction, the DG ISPR said that following Pakistan’s response, the Indian Defence Ministry spokesperson called for de-escalation, which Pakistan welcomed as a peace-loving nation, after which international mediators helped negotiate a ceasefire.
Regarding the armed forces, he affirmed that they fulfilled their duty to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and will continue to do so at all costs.
Finally, the DG ISPR praised Pakistan’s diplomatic corps for their skillful and effective engagement with the international community during the crisis.
