CPC's Party School's role in shaping China's future leaders

CPC’s Party School’s role in shaping China’s future leaders has been paramount. Over the past 90 years, the Communist Party of China (CPC) has cultivated revolutionaries and Party cadres who have demonstrated dedication, discipline, and sacrifice for the nation.

Established in 1933 in Ruijin, Jiangxi Province, the Party School of the CPC has continuously evolved to train future leaders, becoming a premier center for developing Party officials. From the Long March through the reform and opening-up period, CPC cadres molded at the Party School have distinguished themselves in times of conflict and peace, transforming the lives of over a billion people and modernizing a nation that endured centuries of feudalism.

The CPC is guided by Marxism and socialism with Chinese characteristics and has become the world’s largest political party. Many of its most ideologically proficient officials are graduates of the Party School, known for upholding the motto “Seeking truth from facts, avoiding empty talk,” coined by Mao Zedong. This reflects the Party’s commitment to practical and truth-driven governance.

CPC and Chinese Modernization

With a focus on Chinese modernization and building a “great modern socialist country” by mid-21st century, Party School students learn theoretical and practical insights essential to the CPC’s vision. They also engage with national and global issues influencing China’s development projects. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasizes the importance of the Party School in preparing the next generation of officials tasked with national rejuvenation and modernization.

Xi’s frequent visits to the school underscore his commitment and illustrate the dedication all CPC members have for its mission, regardless of rank. The Party School remains a center for Marxist inquiry, challenging societal structures and presenting alternatives for global observation.

Furthermore, China has opened its doors to the global community, welcoming scholars and students to exchange ideas and learn about the CPC’s guiding principles and programs. The Party School has also invited international scholars and researchers to study its principles and China’s development model through robust exchange programs and collaborations with global universities and institutions. Learning remains central to the Party School’s mission, focusing on practical applications of Marxism to China’s context.

Also, the Party School prepares students to address pressing domestic and global issues, emphasizing discipline, respect, and social harmony. Subsequently, these future leaders, under President Xi’s guidance, are poised to shape the CPC’s future and contribute to China’s continued growth and development.
