CPC Central Committee Condoles Demise of Vietnam Leader, Nguyen Phu Trong who passed away on Friday afternoon.
The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee expressed condolences over the passing of Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, describing him as a good comrade, brother, and friend.
Nguyen Phu Trong passed away at Central Military Hospital 108 in Hanoi at the age of 80 due to old age and severe illness, as reported by the Vietnam News Agency on Friday afternoon.
In its condolence message, the CPC Central Committee mentioned Trong as a steadfast Marxist and a significant leader for both the CPV and the Vietnamese people. Trong held the most powerful position in Vietnam for over 13 years.
The message highlighted Trong’s role in strengthening the China-Vietnam relationship alongside Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, advancing the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and the China-Vietnam community with a shared future.
As the CPC condoles on the demise of the Vietnam leader they extend the message of the Chinese government, and the Chinese people hat they will remember him forever.
Emphasizing the close ties between the socialist neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, China reaffirmed its commitment to prioritizing Vietnam in its neighborhood diplomacy.

It also tends to advance building of a China- Vietnam community with collective future to the benefit of the two peoples.
