The twentieth Conference of Chief Justices of the Supreme Courts of SCO member states will be held in Hangzhou, China, starting Tuesday and continuing for five days.
Pakistan will participate in the conference with a delegation led by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi.
A spokesperson for the Supreme Court stated that a key highlight of the event will be the expected signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the Supreme People’s Court of China.
This MoU is designed to strengthen judicial collaboration through institutional partnerships, capacity-building efforts, and the sharing of legal knowledge and expertise.
On the sidelines of the conference, Chief Justice Yahya Afridi will also engage in bilateral talks with the Chief Justice of Iran to explore avenues for enhanced judicial cooperation and joint initiatives.
