Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang held a meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Beijing on Wednesday.
Ding, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, emphasized the longstanding friendship between China and Iran and highlighted the fruitful outcomes of their collaboration across various sectors.
He expressed China’s readiness to work alongside Iran to implement the agreements made between the two heads of state, enhance high-level exchanges, and strengthen political mutual trust.
Ding further stated that both countries should broaden practical cooperation, improve coordination on international and regional matters, and ensure the continued and stable development of the China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership, which would benefit both nations and their people.
Araghchi responded by stressing the importance of the comprehensive strategic partnership for Iran, expressing the country’s eagerness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation, increase multilateral coordination, and protect their shared interests.
