“We are committed to building the Qilu Cultural Experience Center into a cultural exchange center between China and Pakistan in Lahore, while carrying forward the profound traditional Chinese culture, accommodating and absorbing the excellent culture with Pakistani local characteristics, and providing a platform for local overseas Chinese and Pakistani friends to explore Chinese traditional culture,” highlighted Cheng Xiaonong, President of Pakistan-Shandong Chamber of Commerce and President of Yulong Hotel, at the inauguration ceremony of Qilu Cultural Experience Center held in Yulong Hotel on Saturday.
On the occasion, Cheng underlined that, “Chinese culture is well-established, broad and profound. After the completion of the Lahore Exhibition Hall of Qilu Cultural Experience Center, we are also paying attention to its follow-up uses and promoting civilized exchanges and mutual learning between both countries.”
Cheng has been in the Pakistani business for 17 years and in the service sector for 13 years. Cheng believes that there are many quality hotels in Pakistan with exquisite decor of rooms and food. Chinese hotels have also played a part in boosting tourism, accommodation and supply chain industries in Pakistan.
At this stage, the scale of Chinese hotels in Pakistan is relatively limited and there is huge room for improvement in the market. Cheng told Gwadar Pro reporter that, “we are dedicated to providing basic logistics services for the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and now we are also making efforts in cultural exchanges, leading more Chinese business enterprises to actively invest in various industries in Pakistan.”
