Chinese premier lands in Abu Dhabi for visit noting that relations have strengthened and practical cooperation have expanded.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday for an official visit to the UAE at the invitation of Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Upon his arrival, Li emphasized that China-UAE relations have flourished since diplomatic ties were established 40 years ago, growing stronger over time.
Li highlighted the meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in May, which set a new path for bilateral relations, further boosting cooperation.
He noted that, under the leadership of both countries’ heads of state, China-UAE relations have deepened, with practical collaboration expanding and cultural exchanges becoming more active.
Li also stressed the importance of China-UAE coordination on multilateral platforms, contributing to regional and global peace, stability, and development.
Marking the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties, Li expressed his eagerness to engage with UAE leaders and strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.
The UAE visit is the second stop of Li’s four-day Middle East tour, which began with a visit to Saudi Arabia, where he chaired the Fourth Meeting of the High-Level Chinese-Saudi Joint Committee in Riyadh.
