ISLAMABAD – Minister of the International Department of Communist Party of China and member of the Communist Party’s Central Committee Liu Jianchao will arrive in Pakistan today (Thursday) on a three-day visit to participate in third meeting of the Pakistan-China Joint Consultative Mechanism.
During the visit, Liu Jianchao along with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will co-chair the Third Meeting of the Pakistan-China Joint Consultative Mechanism of the Political Parties on CPEC.
He will also call on the senior civil and military leadership.
During his visit, Chinese official will co-chair Third Meeting of the Pakistan-China Joint Consultative Mechanism (JCM) of the Political Parties on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and will also meet with senior civil and military leaders of Pakistan.
Pakistan-China Joint Consultative Mechanism is a regular consultation mechanism between the Communist Party of China and political parties of Pakistan. Several meetings were held in Chinese capital in previous years.
In the upcoming meeting, Islamabad and Beijing will assess the progress of CPEC projects, CPEC’s impact on Pakistan’s socio-economic development, and discuss its expansion for regional connectivity.
Jianchao’s visit is part of the ongoing high-level exchanges between iron brothers and it underscores the importance of Cooperative Partnership.
