Shanghai-based Yuanhe Group, an eco-city investment and construction firm, recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Blue World City in Pakistan. This partnership aims to advance sustainable development and urban modernization in the region.
The collaboration was facilitated by the Sino-International Entrepreneurs Federation and China Rail Sixth Group. Blue World City’s ambitious Blue World Economic Zone is being developed along the Islamabad-Lahore Motorway, closely connected to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The project aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises by creating an industrial zone, dry port, warehousing, and wholesale facilities, establishing a business-friendly environment aligned with CPEC’s goals.
Under the agreement, Yuanhe Group will oversee the master planning, architectural design, and implementation of the Blue World City demonstration zone. Consequently, this will play a key role in Pakistan’s urban modernization and economic growth by introducing advanced planning models and development concepts.
Blue World City aims to become a flagship destination, offering world-class amenities, advanced infrastructure, and scenic attractions. With the potential to become a major global hub for tourism and investment, the project is expected to contribute significantly to Pakistan’s economic revival. Yuanhe Group will also be involved in creating the master plan for the Blue World Technology Park along the M2 Motorway, modular construction of mixed-use high-rise buildings, and the construction of 500 residential homes.
Moreover, Yuanhe Group will provide a range of services, including the development of technology parks, smart communities, green construction solutions, and low-carbon infrastructure. The company’s expertise in sustainable development will ensure that Blue World City meets international urban excellence standards.
Strategically situated along the CPEC route, Blue World City is poised to unlock Pakistan’s untapped potential. Covering over 250,000 Kanals on both sides of the M2 Motorway, the city is emerging as a global center for tourism and investment, enhancing Pakistan’s international profile.
