Chinese envoy calls for enhanced China Pak ties and expressed satisfaction over diplomatic relations in a meeting with Arif Balgamwala at Chinese Consulate.
H.E. Yang Yundong, Consul General of China, expressed satisfaction with the diplomatic and economic ties between China and Pakistan, emphasizing the need to boost bilateral trade. He highlighted the deep-rooted friendship between both nations and appreciated Pakistan’s unwavering support for China at international forums, reaffirming mutual respect and cooperation.
During a meeting at the Chinese Consulate, renowned philatelist and Chief Advisor of the Pakistan Chemicals & Dyes Merchants Association (PCDMA), Arif Balgamwala (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), was invited to discuss trade and cultural exchange. To commemorate the Chinese New Year, Balgamwala presented a stamp folder to the Consul General, which was warmly received and appreciated.
The Chinese Consul General noted that Chinese traders are keen to expand business in Pakistan but raised concerns about security. He urged the Pakistani government to enhance safety measures to facilitate Chinese traders in exploring trade opportunities and partnerships. He also spoke about an upcoming Stamp Show in China, inviting Balgamwala and a delegation to participate.
Moreover, Arif Balgamwala expressed gratitude for China’s support in strengthening trade ties and confirmed Pakistan’s participation in the Stamp Show. He also announced plans to send a trader delegation for the Interdye 2025 exhibition to further enhance trade relations. Additionally, he discussed visa-related concerns with the Consul General, who assured assistance in facilitating visas for Pakistani traders.
