July 25 – Chinese Consul General calls on Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider to discuss prospects of CPEC and mutual relations between China and Pakistan.
Chinese Consul General to Lahore Zhao Shirin met with Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and ongoing development projects under the CPEC during a meeting at the Governor’s House on Thursday.
Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan remarked that Pakistan and China have always shared fraternal relations based on mutual love and trust. He highlighted the close bond between the people of both countries and noted the rapid progress on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, though he emphasized the need to accelerate the pace of development.
The governor pointed out that the CPEC project is beneficial for both Pakistan and China, bringing development and prosperity to Pakistan. He praised the Communist Party of China’s reforms and rapid development as exemplary.
Chinese Consul General Zhao Shirin mentioned that various development projects are underway in the backward areas of Punjab province with China’s cooperation.
As Chinese Consul General calls on Governor in governor house Punjab, he also appreciated President Asif Ali Zardari’s significant role in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor mega project.
