Chinese ambassador calls on Ahsan Iqbal to discuss bilateral relations and strengthened partnership.
Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, reaffirmed China’s strong commitment to supporting Pakistan’s economic development and highlighted the strategic significance of the Pakistan-China partnership.
During a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday, Ambassador Jiang met with Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal.
The discussion emphasized the longstanding and resilient friendship between Pakistan and China, with both sides reaffirming their dedication to deepening bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
Both leaders expressed their resolve to collaborate on shared objectives and strengthen people-to-people connections. They reviewed ongoing and future projects, particularly focusing on economic and infrastructure development.
Minister Iqbal extended warm greetings to the ambassador on the occasion of the Chinese New Year, conveying Pakistan’s best wishes for China’s continued prosperity.
He also reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to advancing key projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and stressed the need to align development priorities for mutual growth and benefit.
