Chinese air force holds celebrations at 75th anniversary and hosts a variety of events.
November 11 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force.
To commemorate this milestone, the PLA Air Force is hosting a variety of celebratory events, including participating in the 15th Airshow China. These activities will feature flight performances, static equipment displays, and themed military music performances, as stated by Senior Colonel Xie Peng, the spokesperson for the PLA Air Force.
The Air Force will showcase 36 types of equipment at the airshow, both in flight performances and static ground displays. The Bayi Aerobatic Team and the Red Eagle Aerobatic Team, along with 26 aircraft from seven different types, including the J-20 and J-16 fighter jets and the YY-20A, will take part in the performances.
The Red Eagle Aerobatic Team has brought nine JL-8 aircraft to the airshow, including eight for performances and one as a backup. Depending on the weather conditions, the team has planned three sets of more than 20 aerobatic maneuvers for this year’s event.
