China’s Spring Festival blends tech with tradition leaving tourists impressed by interactive robot-driven activities.
This year’s Spring Festival celebrations in China incorporated various technological features, with a particular emphasis on robots, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
At the Enshi Grand Canyon Scenic Area in Hubei Province, robot dogs participated in traditional lion dances, offering a distinct and exciting performance for spectators.

Another tourist added, “I really love to visit this place because the performances are very good. I really love it. China is very good.”
As part of the Spring Festival, traditional temple fairs were held, with Beijing hosting its first AI-themed fair, blending modern technology with age-old festivities.
The highlight of the fair was a robot band, featuring four robots playing instruments such as drums, keyboard, bass, and guitar, seamlessly merging AI with music using advanced mechanics and technology.
A robot also created the Chinese phrase “Gong Xi Fa Cai” (wishing prosperity and wealth) in five different fonts.
Visitors were also treated to robots performing Peking Opera moves, including the famous face-changing act from Sichuan Opera.
An exhibitor at the fair explained, “Our main purpose is to promote robots for civilian use, so that everyone can better understand and use robots.”
The AI-themed temple fair featured hundreds of AI-driven experiences, drawing tens of thousands of tourists. In addition to the performances, robots created sugar figures, mixed cocktails, and made desserts, offering a hands-on experience of technological innovation.
