The Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) celebrated China’s National Day in collaboration with the Information and Culture Department by organizing an interactive cultural event at a local hotel.
The event’s chief guest was Zhao Shiren, the Chinese Consul General in Lahore, while notable attendees included former National Security Adviser Gen Nasir Khan Janjua, Sunny Yang, Chairperson of the All-Pakistan Chinese Enterprises’ Association, and several other distinguished figures from various sectors.
In his welcome speech, PCJCCI President Nazir Hussain congratulated China on its National Day, praising the country’s remarkable development over the past four decades. He attributed this progress to visionary leadership and effective reforms, emphasizing that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) serves as a strong link for economic and cultural ties between the two nations.
Zhao Shiren, the Chinese Consul General, echoed sentiments of mutual trust and respect between the two countries, commending the PCJCCI for fostering goodwill between Pakistan and China.
Former Corps Commander Quetta, Lt General Nasser Khan Janjua, appreciated the celebration of cultural diversity, highlighting the Chinese performances, live exhibitions of handicrafts, and instrumental displays of Pakistani culture. The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony in honor of China’s National Day.
