Wang Yi, China’s top diplomat, met with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, the UAE president’s special envoy to China, on Wednesday.
Wang, a member of the Communist Party’s Political Bureau and director of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs Office, highlighted that China-UAE relations have continued to grow strongly under the strategic leadership of both countries’ heads of state.
He expressed China’s willingness to collaborate with the UAE by supporting each other’s core interests, expanding cooperation across various sectors, maintaining close coordination on international and regional matters, and deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership.
Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak affirmed the UAE’s commitment to enhancing high-level exchanges with China and advancing the comprehensive strategic partnership further.
He also reiterated the UAE’s adherence to the one-China principle and emphasized the country’s determination to promote cooperation with China while respecting independence and autonomy.
