China Travel Mart 2024 in Shanghai takes spotlight bringing together participants from various countries.
The China International Travel Mart 2024, hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, began on Friday in Shanghai, bringing together participants from over 80 countries and regions.
The three-day event has drawn more than 1,000 international exhibitors, nearly 600 travel agencies, and facilitated over 600 offline buyer-seller meetings, according to the organizers.
Spanning an exhibition area of 53,000 square meters, the fair showcases a wide range of topics, including Chinese and global cultures, tourism-related technologies, cultural and creative products, and various tourism services.
Organizers noted that some overseas travel agencies are using the event as an opportunity to conduct market research on tourism routes across China’s provinces and cities.
In a move to encourage international travel, China has introduced unilateral visa-free policies for 29 countries, including France and Germany.
