China will organize a military parade in Tian’anmen Square, central Beijing, on September 3 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
President Xi Jinping will inspect the troops during the parade, which is part of a larger commemorative event marking this historic occasion.
Xi, who also serves as General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, is expected to deliver a keynote address at the gathering.
According to Wu Zeke, a senior officer of the Joint Staff Department of the Central Military Commission, the parade will include marching troops, armored vehicles, and aerial formations. It will showcase both traditional military forces and new strategic units equipped with advanced combat technologies.
All the military hardware displayed in the parade will be domestically manufactured and currently in active service, Wu confirmed.
Alongside conventional weaponry, the parade will highlight cutting-edge systems including unmanned intelligent platforms, underwater combat units, cyber and electronic warfare teams, and hypersonic weapons. These displays aim to demonstrate the Chinese military’s capability to integrate modern technologies, adapt to future combat environments, and maintain readiness for high-tech warfare.
