China supports all initiatives aimed at easing the recent tensions between Pakistan and India following a terrorist incident in Kashmir and encourages an early, fair, and impartial investigation, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Monday.
Guo’s comments came in response to a media report mentioning that Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, indicated the possibility of China and Russia participating in an international probe into the Kashmir terrorist attack.
As a neighbor to both India and Pakistan, China hopes the two countries will remain restrained, engage in dialogue and consultation to address their disputes, and work together to maintain regional peace and stability, Guo emphasized.
