China-Singapore forge 26 investment deals in Suzhou Industrial Park which is one of China’s key industrial hubs.
China and Singapore signed 26 investment cooperation agreements on Monday at Suzhou Industrial Park, one of China’s premier industrial hubs located in Jiangsu Province.
The agreements cover areas such as biopharmaceuticals, collaborative innovation, and the digital economy, and were finalized during the China-Singapore Investment Forum held at the park, which is the first intergovernmental collaboration project between the two nations.
Among the projects are the China-Singapore Sustainable Estate Joint Innovation Workshop and the establishment of new overseas headquarters and operational centers by Chinese firms in Singapore.
Established in 1994, Suzhou Industrial Park has facilitated growing cooperation, hosting over 400 Singaporean enterprises and becoming a hub for bilateral collaboration.
China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC) recently highlighted its support for the industrial park, emphasizing reforms, opening key sectors, and improving its capacity to attract global resources.
The MOC announced plans to back the park in expanding digital economy partnerships with Singapore, including pilot projects on cross-border data flows, trade facilitation measures, and collaborating with Singaporean institutions to develop a China-Singapore medical center.
