China is ready to share development opportunities globally as evident after the third plenum of Central Committee of CPC.
The resolution from the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China signals China’s intent to share its development opportunities with the world, promising that a stronger China will benefit global progress, scholars noted during a media salon in Shanghai on Tuesday.
Zhang Zhaoan, a counselor for the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, emphasized that advancing reforms and opening up will drive economic growth through new, high-quality productive forces and help establish a modern industry system.
Zhang, also a former vice-president of the Academy of Social Sciences, highlighted that China’s modern industry, supported by technological innovation and advanced sectors like manufacturing, services, and agriculture, will stimulate economic vitality and unlock significant potential.
Li Wei, dean of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences’ graduate school, pointed out that China’s economic development will be driven by four key industry categories: those where China holds an advantage, strategic and emerging industries, innovated traditional industries, and rapidly developing future industries.
Wang Yi, deputy director of the Information Research Institute at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, noted that while there is employment pressure, the overall employment trend is positive, with recent data indicating a decrease in the unemployment rate.
As China is ready to share development opportunities globally, it signifies China’s willingness to open up its economy.
