The Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, China, recently organized the China (Shandong)-Pakistan Economic and Trade Matchmaking Conference to boost bilateral cooperation in trade, technology transfer, investment, and factory construction.
Held alongside the Pakistan Industrial Exhibition, the conference attracted representatives from over 40 Shandong enterprises and more than 100 Pakistani business leaders, facilitating in-depth discussions on a wide range of topics.
During the event, Shandong companies presented their advanced products and technologies, highlighting their strengths in manufacturing and high-tech sectors. Pakistani participants expressed keen interest, leading to initial negotiations on multiple projects and several cooperation agreements.
According to the Pakistani delegates, the conference provided a valuable platform for direct communication and resource sharing between companies. It helped Shandong businesses gain insights into the Pakistani market’s needs and potential, laying groundwork for future expansion. At the same time, it allowed Pakistani businesses to better understand Chinese technological capabilities and product quality, paving the way for enhanced collaboration.
Beyond the conference, Shandong enterprises took part in the 8th Pakistan Industrial Expo, which featured nearly 100 Chinese manufacturing firms under the theme of “Promoting China-Pakistan Cooperation and Building the Industrial Future Together.” The expo showcased state-of-the-art products in key industries such as machine tools, engineering machinery, automotive equipment, and construction materials, serving as a vital platform for deepening ties and expanding market reach.
The expo, which ran from November 9 to November 11, featured various forums and seminars. Industry experts and scholars engaged in discussions on industrial development and technological innovation, providing new momentum for China, Pakistan, and South Asia’s industrial progress while offering fresh opportunities for enterprises to enter international markets and grow their business.
