Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening counter-terrorism cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels to support Afghanistan in effectively addressing terrorism. They urged the Interim Afghan Government to take clear and verifiable steps to dismantle and eliminate all terrorist groups operating in Afghanistan that pose significant threats to regional and global security, as well as to prevent the use of Afghan territory against neighboring countries and beyond.
