China, Pakistan enhance maritime cooperation as a high level delegation from Chinese company visited Pakistan.
A high-ranking delegation from China’s Yunnan Sunny Road & Bridge Co., Ltd. visited Pakistan to enhance bilateral relations between the two nations.
The delegation, led by Chairman Xub Jiazheng and accompanied by Directors Lipin and Jackey Chen, met with Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh, according to a press release.
Discussions during the meeting centered on potential investment opportunities in Pakistan’s maritime sector.
The Federal Minister reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to strengthening their enduring friendship and economic ties.
He acknowledged China’s significant role in Pakistan’s development, particularly highlighting the transformative impact of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) on infrastructure, energy, and industrial sectors.
He emphasized the need to extend this cooperation to the maritime sector, which offers vast potential for mutual growth.
Both parties reaffirmed the deep-rooted relationship between Pakistan and China, founded on trust, mutual respect, and shared objectives.
The delegation expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s warm hospitality and reiterated China’s strong support for Pakistan’s economic development and regional stability.
Yunnan Sunny Road & Bridge Co., Ltd., known for its advanced pavement technology, has been recognized for its contributions to national infrastructure projects in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan lauded the company for its successful work on road rehabilitation projects under the National Highway Authority (NHA).
The Minister highlighted the positive experiences Pakistan has had collaborating with Chinese companies, particularly in the maritime industry, and praised the company’s solid reputation.
