Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reiterated on Tuesday that China firmly opposes resolving conflicts through the use of force and consistently stands for peace.
Speaking in a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Wang, who is also a senior official of the Communist Party of China, emphasized China’s position on international disputes.
Wang criticized Israel and the United States for launching military actions against Iran based on speculative future threats, stating that such actions violate international law and undermine Iran’s sovereignty.
He stressed that dialogue and negotiation remain the only viable solution and urged all parties to return to the path of political dialogue to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue.
Wang also highlighted that the Palestinian issue lies at the core of the Middle East conflict and called for efforts to implement the two-state solution.
In response, Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan stated that Israel must adopt the two-state solution and put an end to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza if it truly seeks lasting security.
Fidan expressed Türkiye’s willingness to strengthen communication and coordination with China and work together to promote peace and stability across the Middle East.
