Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang met with Kazakhstan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar in Beijing on Tuesday. The two officials co-chaired the 12th Meeting of the China-Kazakhstan Cooperation Committee, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening practical cooperation.
Ding, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, emphasized that under the leadership of their respective heads of state, China-Kazakhstan relations have seen rapid progress, setting an example for international partnerships.
He stressed the need for both sides to implement key agreements reached by their leaders, reinforce political trust, support each other, align their development strategies, and expand practical cooperation for mutual benefit. He also acknowledged the committee’s achievements since its last meeting.
Ding outlined four key areas for future collaboration: strengthening leadership-driven diplomacy, deepening high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, enhancing security and law enforcement partnerships, and fostering cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
Sklyar reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to prioritizing its relationship with China, expressing readiness to maximize cooperation mechanisms, ensure smooth execution of key Belt and Road projects, and achieve new milestones in bilateral collaboration.
