China-Japan talks focus on strengthening cooperation as a Japanese ruling coalition delegation is on visit to China.
Wang Yi, head of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China, met a Japanese ruling coalition delegation in Beijing on Tuesday.
The delegation, headed by Secretary General Hiroshi Moriyama of the Liberal Democratic Party and Secretary General Makoto Nishida of the Komeito Party, attended the meeting.
Wang, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, stated that China-Japan relations currently hold significant opportunities for enhancement and growth.
Wang expressed the hope that both sides would effectively use the exchange mechanism platform between the ruling parties to positively contribute to the advancement of China-Japan relations.
The Japanese delegation conveyed their readiness to collaborate with China in implementing the leaders’ agreements, enhancing dialogue between the ruling parties, and achieving tangible outcomes in practical cooperation across various sectors.
