China has included Indonesia in its 240-hour visa-free transit scheme, increasing the number of eligible countries to 55, the country’s immigration authorities announced on Thursday.
Starting from Thursday, qualified Indonesian travelers can enter China via any of the 60 designated ports located in 24 provincial-level regions. They are permitted to stay in the country for up to 240 hours, or 10 days, without needing a visa, provided they are enroute to a third destination, as stated by the National Immigration Administration.
This initiative is part of China’s ongoing strategy to promote international travel and foster global exchanges.
