China hosts 2025 Internet Civilization Conference emphasizing positive use of online space and shaping new trends.
The 2025 China Internet Civilization Conference began on Tuesday in Hefei, the capital of east China’s Anhui Province.
Li Shulei, a member of the CPC Central Committee’s Political Bureau and head of its Publicity Department, was present at the event and delivered the main address.
With a theme centered on promoting positive online energy and shaping contemporary digital trends, the conference gathered participants from national and local government departments, leading news platforms, internet-focused organizations, scholars, influencers, and students.
During the event, attendees emphasized the importance of reinforcing mainstream online narratives, energizing digital culture, and reforming the systems used to manage cyberspace.
