China-Brunei festival celebrates enduring ties as it showcases long standing cultural relations and people to people contact between the two nations.
The 2nd Brunei-China Art and Visual Culture Festival opened in Brunei on Saturday, celebrating the enduring friendship and cultural exchange history between China and Brunei.
The event featured traditional martial arts, opera, calligraphy, exhibitions, lectures, and more, drawing over 200 attendees, including artists, scholars, officials, and diplomats.
Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Xiao Jianguo highlighted the long-standing cultural ties between the two nations, noting that historical records show over a millennium of people-to-people contact.
The 2nd Brunei-China Art and Visual Culture Festival was jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Brunei, the foreign office of the Nanjing municipal government in China’s Jiangsu Province, and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Brunei.
Brunei is situated in the northern part of Borneo island in Southeast Asia.
