China’s Ministry of Commerce announced on Friday that it will prohibit the export of dual-use goods to 16 American companies, which have now been placed on its export control list.
According to a spokesperson, the move aligns with China’s laws, including its export control law and regulations concerning dual-use items. It aims to protect national interests and uphold international responsibilities such as non-proliferation.
The statement emphasized that these U.S. firms are involved in actions that could pose a threat to China’s national security, and warned that exporters must comply with the related legal provisions without exception.
