Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning reaffirmed on Tuesday that China supports all initiatives that contribute to a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine crisis. She expressed hope that all involved parties can achieve a fair, lasting, and mutually acceptable solution.
During a regular press briefing, Mao emphasized that China remains committed to working alongside the international community to play a constructive role in the political resolution of the crisis.
Meanwhile, Ukraine and the United States are set to hold a meeting on Tuesday in Jeddah, a port city in Saudi Arabia. This follows a heated exchange between former U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House in late February, which resulted in the cancellation of a bilateral minerals agreement and the subsequent suspension of U.S. military aid to Ukraine.
