China and Russia to hold security meetings and law enforcement meetings in this week.
China and Russia are set to hold the 19th round of their annual strategic security consultation and the ninth meeting of their law-enforcement and security cooperation mechanism in China from November 11 to 15, according to an announcement made by Lin Jian, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, on Monday.
Sergei Shoigu, the secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council, will attend these meetings. Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, will meet with Shoigu to discuss various matters, Lin stated.
Additionally, Chen Wenqing, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, will also engage in talks with Shoigu, Lin added.
