China’s Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) has signed a letter of intention with Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) to collaborate on agricultural research.
HZAU aims to enhance joint projects and agricultural trade with Pakistan, focusing on areas such as genetic improvement of crops, molecular breeding, animal infectious diseases, and aquaculture. The collaboration aims to leverage Chinese expertise and Pakistan’s diverse resources for mutual benefit.
The partnership builds on ongoing efforts between PARC and Chinese institutions, fostering scientific collaboration and advancing high-tech agricultural research in Pakistan. The delegation from HZAU visited various research facilities, expressing admiration for ongoing initiatives at the National Agricultural Research Centre.
HZAU’s official inclusion in the Exchange Mechanism of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Consortium of Universities reflects the deepening collaboration between Chinese and Pakistani educational institutions.
