China advances emerging industries for high-tech growth as per the government work report presented to the national legislature.
China aims to advance the integrated and clustered growth of strategic emerging industries as part of its efforts to develop high-quality productive forces and accelerate the modernization of its industrial system.
As outlined in the Government Work Report submitted to the national legislature on Wednesday, China will implement demonstration projects focused on the large-scale application of innovative technologies, products, and scenarios. Additionally, the country will ensure the secure and stable growth of emerging sectors such as commercial space exploration and the low-altitude economy.
To support future industries, China plans to establish a funding mechanism and foster the development of fields like biomanufacturing, quantum technology, embodied artificial intelligence, and 6G technology, according to the report.
Through the AI Plus initiative, China will integrate digital technologies with its strengths in manufacturing and market potential. The country will promote the widespread use of large-scale AI models and advance the development of next-generation intelligent devices, such as AI-powered smartphones, computers, connected new-energy vehicles, and smart robotics.
Furthermore, China will expand the application of 5G technology, drive innovation-led growth in the Industrial Internet, enhance the distribution of computing resources nationwide, and cultivate globally competitive digital industry clusters.
