China is ready to collaborate with Russia and Mongolia to further strengthen mutual trust and deepen trilateral cooperation for the benefit of their people, said Premier Li Qiang.
On Wednesday, Li, alongside Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene, held a trilateral meeting in Islamabad, Pakistan.
China, as a neighbor, is willing to prioritize the implementation of the medium-term roadmap for trilateral cooperation, align development strategies, and enhance policy communication and coordination, Li said.
The goal is to make trilateral cooperation more in-depth, sustainable, and effective, setting an example of friendly exchanges between neighboring countries for mutual benefit, he added.
Li emphasized that China seeks to focus on key projects within the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor, deepen collaboration on platforms like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and share development opportunities to protect common interests.
Mishustin and Oyun-Erdene noted that under the leadership of their respective heads of state, trilateral cooperation has steadily progressed, expanding exchanges and dialogues across various sectors, benefiting both the countries and regional stability and development.
During the talks, Russia and Mongolia expressed their readiness to strengthen coordination between the Eurasian Economic Union, the Steppe Road initiative, and the Belt and Road Initiative.
Both countries also conveyed their commitment to accelerating the construction of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor and fostering cooperation in areas such as transportation, energy, and culture.
