On March 19, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Jiang Zaidong, representing the Red Cross Society of China, handed over emergency financial aid to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society. The ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Ms. Amna Baloch, Pakistan Red Crescent Society Chairperson Ms. Farzhana Naek, and Minister-Counselor Mr. Xu Hangtian from the Chinese Embassy.
Jiang Zaidong reaffirmed China’s firm stance against terrorism and strongly condemned the recent train hijacking incident in Balochistan. He expressed deep condolences to the victims, extended sympathies to their families, and wished the injured a swift recovery. To assist Pakistan in providing medical aid and managing the aftermath, the Red Cross Society of China decided to offer emergency financial assistance.
Ms. Amna Baloch and Ms. Farzhana Naek expressed sincere gratitude for China’s timely support. They acknowledged China’s unwavering solidarity during this difficult time, calling it a testament to the strong brotherly bond between the two nations. They assured that the aid would be allocated immediately to ensure its optimal use.
