On May 27 , the Pakistan Chinese Enterprises Association and the Pakistan National Vocational Education Commission jointly held a job fair for college graduates. 20 Chinese enterprises provided 500 jobs and about 4,300 Pakistani graduates applied for the job. Ambassador Jiang Zaidong attended the job fair and met with Pakistani Minister of Education Siddiqui.
Jiang Zaidong congratulated the job fair and said that both China and Pakistan are facing the realistic issue of arranging employment for college graduates. China encourages enterprises to actively give back to the local society. We are willing to explore with Pakistan to build a new platform for two-way interaction between talent training and youth employment between schools and enterprises under the framework of practical cooperation between the two countries, and help Pakistan transform its demographic dividend into a talent advantage.
Siddiqui thanked China for its support for Pakistan’s economic development and improvement of people’s livelihood, and spoke highly of the role played by Chinese companies in this regard. He praised the job fair for benefiting hundreds of families and being a microcosm of Pakistan-China friendship.
