Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal, has underscored China’s remarkable advancements in economic innovation and emerging technologies.
Speaking at a press conference in Beijing, he highlighted that the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will not only enable Pakistan to receive support from China but also foster collaboration in technological development. This partnership aims to leverage advanced research and ongoing innovations for mutual benefit.
The Minister pointed out that integrating high-quality technologies will be transformative for Pakistan, particularly in the agriculture sector. Such advancements are expected to boost exports, improve productivity, and enhance the industry’s global competitiveness.
Ahsan Iqbal noted that with a young population skilled in IT, Pakistan has significant potential to collaborate with China in building a robust digital technology platform.
He emphasized the deep, unconditional bond between the peoples of Pakistan and China, reaffirming that attempts by terrorists to derail the progress achieved under CPEC would fail.
The Minister also expressed gratitude to Chinese workers in Pakistan, describing them as honored guests who are playing a vital role in the country’s development.
