Pakistan-based trade and investment facilitation company Silkway Impex is expanding commercial links with Chinese businesses. The company has signed agreements with four firms in Guizhou and held talks with companies in steel, pharmaceuticals and health technology.
The engagements aim to create new opportunities for joint ventures, technology transfer and industrial development in Pakistan.
Agreements Signed with Guizhou Companies
Silkway Impex signed memorandums of understanding and partnership agreements during the Guizhou-Pakistan Economic and Trade Symposium. The Guizhou Chamber of Commerce organized the event.
According to the company, the agreements could support cooperation in several sectors. These include infrastructure, agriculture, building materials and food logistics.
Moreover, the partnerships could help Chinese companies explore investment and manufacturing opportunities in Pakistan.
Steel Cooperation Explored in China
The Silkway Impex delegation also visited a manufacturing facility of Shenlong Steel in Yuxi, China.
During the visit, both sides discussed opportunities in the Pakistani market. Their talks covered cold-rolled, galvanized and colour-coated steel products.
In addition, the companies explored potential market-entry and distribution arrangements for Pakistan.
Pharmaceutical Partnership Under Discussion
Silkway Impex also held discussions with Haisco Pharmaceutical Group at its facilities in Chengdu.
The companies are exploring a partnership to expand Haisco’s commercial and brand presence in Pakistan. Discussions covered market entry, product commercialisation and long-term business development.
Furthermore, the proposed cooperation could create new opportunities in Pakistan’s pharmaceutical market.
Health Technology and Manufacturing
The delegation later visited China Boton Group in Shenzhen. It toured the company’s research and development facilities and discussed potential industrial cooperation.
Silkway Impex also held talks with Boton partner MagFlare. The discussions focused on joint ventures, technology transfer and manufacturing opportunities in Pakistan.
The proposed projects could serve both domestic and export markets.
Expanding Pakistan-China Industrial Links
These engagements reflect continued efforts to connect Pakistani businesses with Chinese companies across multiple industries.
From steel and pharmaceuticals to infrastructure and technology, Silkway Impex is exploring partnerships that could support investment, manufacturing and technology transfer in Pakistan.
