Kyrgyz Truck Reaches Pakistan via QTTA Route
Pakistan has achieved a major milestone in regional connectivity. The first truck from Kyrgyzstan has reached Pakistan through China under a new transit framework.
Historic Entry Through Sost Border
The truck entered Pakistan at Sost Dry Port. It carried transit goods and completed its journey via China.
This marks the first time a Central Asian country has transported goods into Pakistan using its own vehicle.
QTTA Framework in Action
The movement took place under the Quadrilateral Traffic in Transit Agreement. This agreement connects Pakistan, China, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan.
The milestone shows progress in cross-border logistics cooperation. It also highlights efforts to activate regional trade routes.
Role of National Logistics Corporation
The National Logistics Corporation facilitated the operation. It worked with its partner company in Kyrgyzstan.
The truck carried commercial cargo. It successfully traveled across multiple borders before reaching Pakistan.
Plans to Extend Route to Karachi
Authorities now plan to extend the route to Karachi Port. This will give landlocked Central Asian states direct access to global markets.
The route will connect Bishkek with Karachi. It is expected to become one of the shortest trade corridors in the region.
Boost to Regional Trade
Since 2024, Pakistan has transported cargo to Kyrgyzstan using multimodal systems. These include the TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers) system.
The QTTA corridor now offers a reliable alternative route. It supports the movement of both perishable and non-perishable goods.
Conclusion
This development strengthens regional connectivity. It also opens new trade opportunities between Pakistan and Central Asia.
The successful arrival of the first Kyrgyz truck highlights the growing importance of the QTTA route.
