China is taking strategic steps to strengthen grain production and achieve sustainable growth by 2030. Under the draft outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), the country has increased its annual grain production target to 1.45 trillion jin (approximately 725 million tonnes). This move reflects China’s commitment to ensuring food security and meeting rising domestic demand.
Advanced technology plays a central role in achieving these goals. Agricultural drones, robotics, AI integration, and modern farming machinery are being deployed to enhance efficiency and productivity. Farmland protection measures and the development of high-standard fields further support sustainable production, ensuring high-quality grain growth across the country.
Experts emphasize that these measures will not only stabilize domestic food supply but also promote innovation and efficiency in agriculture. By focusing on technology and sustainable practices, China aims to create a model of resilient and productive farming.
