Chinese company Hangeng Trade Company has donated Rs1 million to the Rural Community Development Centre (RCDC) Club Gwadar as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. The donation, made on January 28, will support the Annual Book Festival 2026, which began on January 29.
Hangeng, a pharmaceutical firm in the Gwadar North Free Zone, has a history of contributing to the socio-economic development of the local community. The company has sponsored youth participation in football and cricket tournaments and is helping establish a Sino-Pak Agricultural Industrial Park to boost agricultural productivity using modern technology.
Additionally, Hangeng has partnered with the University of Gwadar to create employment and scholarship opportunities, aiming to strengthen local human capital and skills development. The initiative reflects ongoing Chinese support for community welfare and education in Gwadar.
