Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, held a series of meetings with Pakistan’s Honorary Investment Counsellors in China to review progress, enhance coordination, and define priorities for the coming year. The discussions focused on strengthening economic engagement and aligning investment efforts with Pakistan’s development goals.
The ambassador highlighted the importance of mobilising Chinese investment across key regions including innovation hubs, industrial zones, agricultural centres, and strategic gateway areas. He emphasised the counsellors’ role in promoting trade, investment, and people-to-people connections while supporting export-oriented sectors and joint ventures.
Ambassador Hashmi shared updates on investment initiatives, including sector-focused conferences and roadshows that have generated significant business interest and agreements. He encouraged active follow-up to translate commitments into tangible outcomes and discussed preparations for an upcoming China-focused agriculture investment conference aimed at expanding cooperation and boosting bilateral economic ties.
