Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Kyrgyzstan to strengthen cooperation in trade, logistics, civil aviation, and security. He met President Sadyr Japarov and emphasized China’s support for Kyrgyzstan’s development, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. The visit also included discussions on the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and other Belt & Road initiatives. Both sides agreed to transform cooperation plans into practical projects.
During the visit, China and Kyrgyzstan launched their first foreign ministers’ strategic dialogue, committing to expand bilateral ties across key sectors. The two nations plan to accelerate infrastructure projects at the Bedel Pass port, improve transport links, and enhance industrial cooperation. Analysts note this marks the most productive period in China-Kyrgyzstan relations.
Experts highlighted that China-Kyrgyzstan collaboration supports regional stability, energy cooperation, and shared development. Bilateral trade has surged, with Kyrgyzstan benefiting from China’s industrial and technological support. Both countries are also working to strengthen people-to-people exchanges, ensuring long-term political trust and economic growth.
