Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar stressed that dialogue and cooperation remain essential for lasting peace, security, and development. Addressing the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to diplomacy and multilateralism as key instruments for global harmony.
Dar said the presence of delegates from across the world reflected a shared belief that collaboration, not confrontation, drives progress. He praised parliamentary diplomacy as a bridge connecting nations and ensuring that international cooperation reflects the will of the people.
Condemning the recent terrorist attacks in Wana and Islamabad, he said such cowardly acts would not deter Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism. He reiterated that peace enables growth and stability, while inclusive development strengthens peace.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that Pakistan will continue to act as a bridge between regions, promoting justice, dialogue, and shared prosperity through active and people-centered diplomacy.
