Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s deep-rooted strategic ties with China, calling the partnership an “all-weather” relationship based on trust and strategic alignment.
In a message shared on his official X account, Dar appreciated President Xi Jinping’s global initiatives, including the Belt and Road, Global Development, Security, and Civilisation Initiatives, noting that they are transforming economies and boosting regional connectivity.
He emphasised that the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) has emerged as a key Eurasian platform, advancing cooperation in security, trade, energy, connectivity, and culture. In today’s multipolar world, he added, SCO’s role in promoting multilateralism, stability, and inclusive growth has become more vital than ever.
Dar also conveyed his best wishes for the successful hosting of the SCO Summit by China. He underscored Pakistan’s commitment to constructive high-level engagements with Chinese leadership and with other SCO member states, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s perspective on China Global Television Network’s (CGTN) Global South Voices, reiterating the significance of Pak–China ties and the growing importance of SCO in ensuring regional peace and prosperity.
