Pakistan, UAE pledge closer cooperation for peace and regional prosperity during a high-level meeting in Abu Dhabi.
Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to maintain strong coordination and continue working together to promote regional peace and shared prosperity.
This understanding was reached during a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and UAE President and Abu Dhabi Ruler Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
The meeting highlighted the enduring and fraternal ties between the two nations, which are based on mutual trust, common values, and a legacy of close cooperation.
The leaders exchanged views on a broad spectrum of bilateral, regional, and global matters of mutual concern and reiterated their resolve to strengthen collaboration in vital sectors.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt thanks to the UAE leadership for its constructive role in reducing tensions between Pakistan and India.
He also praised the UAE’s active efforts to support regional peace, dialogue, and stability.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the current positive momentum in bilateral relations and ongoing interactions at various levels.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif renewed his invitation to the UAE President to undertake an official visit to Pakistan.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi.
