The Pakistan Embassy in Beijing, in partnership with the Pakistan Women’s Association of Beijing (PWAB), hosted a fundraising event called “Dil Se Pakistan” at the Embassy today. Led by Marium Mahmood, the wife of Ambassador Khalil Hashmi, the event brought together diplomats, Chinese friends, and generous donors to raise funds for children suffering from Thalassemia, a life-threatening genetic blood disorder that requires continuous medical care.
Ambassador Khalil Hashmi emphasized the importance of the event, describing it as a noble cause aimed at assisting the many children affected by Thalassemia. He commended PWAB for its hard work and thanked the donors for their substantial contributions. He also acknowledged the support of the Chinese community and the diplomatic corps for attending the event.
Long Yuxiang, Executive Chairman of the China International Cultural Communication Center, expressed his sincere gratitude to all those who have consistently supported China-Pakistan relations and who participated in this humanitarian effort. Additionally, Mr. Henry Man Hin Chan, General Manager of Harvest Epoch Strategic (International) Investment Limited, announced a generous donation of 200,000 RMB to the Pakistan Thalassemia Welfare Society.
